Kaci Foster is the General Manager for Research Solutions at Kuali. In that role she has overall responsibility for the health, growth, and operations of Kuali's Research Solutions business. Kaci has been with Kuali since 2015, most recently in the role of VP of Customer Success. Before joining the company, she worked at Boston University for more than 15 years in both the IT Project Management office and the Office of Sponsored Programs.

Jim is a Managing Director with Deloitte Consulting LLP.  He brings 25+ years helping research-intensive universities strengthen support for the research mission, shaping policy, building organizations and transforming operations with technology.  Prior to joining Deloitte, Jim worked at Columbia University (as Chief Financial Officer for the College of Physicians and Surgeons, and before that as Associate Vice President responsible for post award financial management of the University’s $800M+ portfolio of sponsored research programs).  Jim started his career in research administration at Case Western Reserve University.  He earned his MBA at Case Western and his BA at Boston University.

Marianne Woods

NCURA Distinguished Educator Marianne Rinaldo Woods, Ph.D., J.D. is the Director of the Master of Science Program in Research Administration and a faculty member in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, Advanced Academic Programs at Johns Hopkins University. She is an international specialist on all issues pertaining to research administration and has consulted and lectured on research administration issues throughout the world. She is often called upon by universities both domestic and international to consult on complex research administration issues ranging from misconduct in science to licensing of intellectual property.

Prior to coming to Johns Hopkins University to launch the MS in Research Administration, Dr. Woods retired as Senior Associate Vice President for Research at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where she was responsible for oversight of all aspects of research administration including Sponsored Programs (pre and post award); Contracts and Industrial Agreements both domestic and international; Research Integrity and Misconduct in Research or Scholarship; Research Compliance including the IACUC, IRB, COI, Export Controls; Research Support; Commercialization, Technology Transfer and Innovation, and; Metrics for Research Administration. She was also responsible for the development and implementation of university-wide policies and procedures ranging from conflict of interest to intellectual property. She also served the University as the Responsible University Official.

Prior to UTSA Dr. Woods was Associate Vice President for Research at the University of Alabama where she started their Center for Innovation, Technology Transfer Office and Research Compliance Office as well as creating and operating a comprehensive Office of Research Administration which included pre-award, post-award, and research accounting. She started a medical IRB, implemented clinical trial policies and procedures, designed and implemented procedures for technology development and licensed intellectual property.

Dr. Woods is the 2015 recipient of the Johns Hopkins Dean's Award for Academic Excellence in Program Growth. She is the 2009 recipient of NCURA's highest honor, the Achievement in Research Administration Award. She is also a recipient of NCURA's National Distinguished Service Award and NCURA's Region V Distinguished Service Award. Dr. Woods was one of the recipients of the 2006 Licensing Executive Society's National Deal of Distinction Award. She is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Society for Biomedical Research and Past President of the Texas Technology Transfer Association (T3A). Dr. Woods is a founding member and former president of the Texas Chapter of the Society of Research Administrators International. She has served on the Board of Directors of the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), the Council on Governmental Relations (COGR), the University Industry Demonstration Partnership (UIDP), and The FBI Citizens Academy. She has served as the University Administrative Representative to the Federal Demonstration Partnership and was Chair of the Export Controls Working Group.

Dr. Suzanne Rivera

Dr. Suzanne M. Rivera became Macalester College’s 17th president on June 1, 2020. Having worked in higher education for 25 years, Dr. Rivera is an accomplished leader, instructor, researcher, and scholar. She is an advocate for social justice and brings a strong commitment to inclusion and equity to her role as president.
 
Prior to her appointment at Macalester, Rivera was the Vice President for Research and Technology Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She also served on the faculty in the Departments of Bioethics and Pediatrics at CWRU, leading original research projects funded by the National Institutes of Health, the federal Office of Research Integrity, and The Cleveland Foundation.
 
Rivera previously served as Vice President for Research Administration at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, where she also was a faculty member in the Department of Clinical Sciences, and at the University of California-Irvine campus as an instructor and administrator.
 
A national expert in research ethics, Dr. Rivera frequently is invited to speak about a variety of topics related to biomedical research and science policy.  She has published numerous articles, essays, and book chapters that explore the moral dimensions of informed consent, use of human specimens, and protection of research subject privacy.  She co-edited the book Specimen Science, published by MIT Press in 2017.
 
She has held numerous leadership roles in a variety of professional societies and governmental advisory bodies. She currently is the Vice-Chair of the Board of Public Responsibility in Medicine & Research (PRIM&R) and recently was elected member-at-large of the Section on Social, Economic & Political Sciences of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). Previously, she served on the Boards of the Council on Governmental Relations (COGR) and the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA). Rivera also was appointed to the US DHHS Secretary’s Advisory Committee on Human Research Protections and the Environmental Protection Agency’s Human Studies Review Board.
 
Dr. Rivera earned her BA in American Civilization from Brown University, a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of California-Berkeley, and a doctorate in Public Affairs with an emphasis on health policy from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Amanda Reitmayer

Amanda is an Associate Director of Pre-Award at Texas A&M University. She is responsible for overseeing the preparation, submission, and review of all proposals submitted on behalf of Texas A&M University. In the past Amanda has been responsible for ensuring project compliance for Financial Conflict of Interest, Responsible Conduct in Research, Research Data Management, and Time & Effort. She has previously worked in both Pre-Award and Post-Award at the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station and Texas A&M Sponsored Research Services, obtained her CRA in 2008, and has 15 years of research administration experience

Jenifer Hoffman

Jenifer Hoffman is the Director for Grants and Contracts in the College of Nursing at The Pennsylvania State University. She has over 15 years of experience with a vast variety of sponsors including NIH, NSF, DOE, NASA, DOD, DOJ, HRSA, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as industrial sponsors. She has the authority to sign and submit proposals on behalf of the university. She earned her certificates in Pre-Award Research Administration (CPRA) in 2011 and Research Administration (CRA) in 2012 from the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC). She now volunteers her time as a member of the board of directors for RACC and conducts presentations at universities throughout the mid-west and east coast on the Body of Knowledge for research administrators interested in taking the CRA examination. At the Center for Nursing Research she assists faculty by helping them prepare proposals, including documentation support, budget building, mock reviews, and submission. She also supports the faculty with award management by keeping them informed of their budget burn rate, reporting, invoicing, and audit documentation. She lives in rural central Pennsylvania with her husband Alan, cantankerous cat Oscar, and sweet puppy Zoey.

Lyndal Arceneaux

Lyndal Arceneaux is a Sr. Proposal Administrator I and Team Lead the pre-award team for Texas A&M University. With over 5 years in pre-award, Lyndal has had substantial experience preparing and submitting proposals to various Federal, State, local, non-profit, and for-profit entities, working with departments in fields of STEM, Engineering, and Humanities. She earned her certificate in Research Administration (CRA) in 2019 from the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC). Lyndal received her Bachelors of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University in 2014, and is currently enrolled with Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs for her Masters of Science in Research Administration. Winona Ward

Winona Ward is a Certified Research Administrator (CRA) with over twenty-five years of experience in sponsored project administration, including pre-award service management, award negotiation, government and business contracting, industry contracting, policy and procedure development, training and research compliance. She holds a Master in Research Administration (MRA), and is an expert in the management of sponsored research conducted nationally, and globally. Ms. Ward currently serves as the Director, Office of Sponsored Research and Interim Executive Director, Office of Clinical Trial Activation at University of California San Francisco (UCSF). UCSF is the largest public recipient of National Institutes of Health Funding. Throughout her career, Ms. Ward has worked with institutional leadership to recommend and implement strategic changes in support of the research enterprise. She works to facilitate research by minimizing administrative burden, while maintaining compliance with institutional policies, and federal and state regulations.

Stephanie Gray

Stephanie is the Assistant Vice President of Research and Director of Sponsored Programs at the University of Florida. In that role, she oversees the preaward and nonfinancial post award administration at a land-grant University that includes medical, dental, agricultural, engineering, basic sciences, humanities and professional schools. As a comprehensive institution, Stephanie has a wealth of experience in all facets of research administration and has led growth in research activity from $644M to $837M in her 7 years at UF. At both of the institutions at which she worked, Stephanie facilitated transformations through implementation and restructuring of electronic research administration tools ranging from preaward systems to reporting tools to restricted data environments. In addition, she has created and delivered novel training programs, navigated federal audits related to effort reporting and global activities, and used risk based approaches to ensuring compliance with sponsored programs regulations. Stephanie has presented at local, regional and national meetings over the past two decades ranging from online webinars in proposal basics to workshops on managing regulated data. She served on the NCURA Professional Development Committee leading the Online Programming Subcommittee. She has published a chapter in NCURA's to Sponsored Research Administration: A Guide to Effective Strategies & Recommended Practice on regulated data and information security. Michelle Lewis

Michelle A. Lewis, M.S., has worked in the higher education industry for over 20 years and a practicing Research Administrator for over 20 years. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with a concentration in Cell/Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the State University of New York at New Paltz (1998), a Master of Science degree in Clinical Research Administration from the New York Medical College (2003), acquired her credentials as a Certified Research Administrator in 2015, and is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education. Michelle's post-baccalaureate career started at the Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City, where many opportunities for professional advancement propelled Michelle's career and contributed to her evolving expertise and passion for Research Administration. During her tenure at Weill-Cornell, Michelle served in over 10 unique positions up until her transition to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) as the Vice President, Research Administration & Operations (VPRA) in June 2017. In her current role as VPRA, Michelle is responsible for leading over 200 CHOP Research Institute staff and leaders working in the departments of Pre-Award, Post-Award, Creative Services, Core Facilities Administration, Children's Oncology Group, Research Business Operations, Research Information Services, Department of Veterinary Services, and Research Project Management. Sheleza Mohamed, MBA, MHA, CRA, CFRA directs the administration of the research enterprise within her department. Michelle Bulls

Michelle G. Bulls is the Director of the Office of Policy for Extramural Research Administration (OPERA), with policy and compliance oversight for the 24 Institutes and Centers’ grants management offices within the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Ms. Bulls provides national leadership and oversight in the business and financial management of the federal assistance biomedical research programs supported by NIH. She has over 20 years of grants administration experience and is well respected Federal-wide for her grants policy expertise. She remains a change agent in the area of grants management, streamlining and reformation efforts across the Federal government. She continues to lead Federal-wide research efforts to reduce administrative burden for the extramural research community and represents NIH by serving on the executive board of the Federal Demonstration Partnership and serving as co-chair of the Research Business Module subcommittee. She is leading change through other research specific platforms and has co-led the implementation of research-wide terms and conditions that implement the Uniform Regulations, as well as the Final Research Performance Progress Report. Ms. Bulls continues to lead trans-NIH policy efforts as well as implement Department and Federal-wide policies for NIHs grants administration enterprise.

Elizabeth B. Haney, M.S., CRA, is a Senior Officer for Strateigic Initiatives for Corporate and Foundatioin Relations/Sponsored Research at St. Lawrence University. Her background includes research, scientific writing and editing, and lab administration. Elizabeth graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and from Brown University with a Master of Science in Biology. She is also a graduate of Emmanuel College's Masters in Research Administration program and a Certified Research Administrator. Joseph Tomaras

Joseph Tomaras has been a research administrator since 2003, in various roles (departmental, central, pre-, post-, and research compliance), first at the City University of New York, then as the founding director of the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research Compliance at Bates College, and now at Sarah Lawrence College.

Jia Niu

Jia Niu is an assistant professor of chemistry in Boston College. Jia obtained a B.S. degree (2005) and a M.S. degree (2008) fromTsinghua University in China. He then moved to the United States to pursue a PhD degree at Harvard University, working with Professor David R. Liu on the enzyme-free translation and directed evolution of synthetic polymers. Jia joined the faculty of Boston College in 2017 after working as a postdoctoral scholar in the laboratories of Professor Craig Hawker and Professor Tom Soh at University of California, Santa Barbara. Currently, Jia and his research group are focused on understanding functional roles of sulfation patterns in bioactive macromolecules, developing sustainable plastics using biobased building blocks,
and the directed evolution of genome editors. Jia is a recipient of NSF CAREER
Award (2020), NIH Director’s New Innovator Award (2019), and the Beckman Young
Investigator Award (2019).

Anjali Panse

Anjali currently serves as a Grants Administrator and Financial Analyst at the Center for Centers Service Center at Boston College. With a Masters in Accountancy from Bentley University (2011) and about half a decade of accounting, audit, and financial analysis experience, Anjali made the transition to Research Administration in 2017. At Boston College, she supports multiple types of departments, providing those with grant awards with pre-award and post-award support. Anjali currently serves as Chair of the 2021 Region 1 Volunteer and Membership Committee as well as Member of the Region 1 Advisory Board.

Geraldine Pierre

Geraldine is an experienced Senior Sponsored Programs Administrator with over twenty years of academic departmental and central office Research Administration experience managing all aspects of pre and post-award grant activities.

Anthony Ventimiglia

Tony Ventimiglia is the Acting Executive Director of Research Administration Services where his responsibilities include oversight of the Offices of Sponsored Programs and Proposal Services and Faculty Support. Tony has been working in research administration since 1999 and has volunteered in various capacities within NCURA at both the regional and national level; including as Chair of Region III; co-chair of two annual meetings; and through various presentations and workshops. He is a graduate of the 2005 class of the NCURA Leadership Development Institute/2015 NCURA Executive Leadership Program and served as an At-large representative on the NCURA Board of Directors from 2010-2011 and as a regional representative from 2013-2014; as a member of the Advisory Board for the University of Central Florida's Master of Research Administration (MRA) program; as a faculty member of the NCURA Fundamentals of Sponsored Projects Administration program (2013-2015 and 2016-2017); as NCURA Secretary from 2016-2017; and as NCURA President (2019). Prior to moving to Alabama in 1999, Tony worked at the Ford Foundation in New York for seven years in various capacities (including as a Grants Processing Specialist and Grants Administrator). Rosemary Madnick

Her experience with grants and contracts management at various institutions has provided her with more than 25 years of knowledge in research administration.Her experience has given her distinct skills in research, development and evaluation of policies and programs as well as the know-how in investigating and analyzing problems with broad impact using data to develop sound decisions.As a senior research administrator, she provided consultation and guidance on all aspects of sponsored program administration including development of research policies and procedures, resolution of grant and contract issues internally and externally. She has represented her institutions on site visits and with funding agencies. In addition, she is also been involved in strategic implementation of new organizational structures to support grants and contracts operations and implementation of activities requiring facilitation and change management activities. She is a member of the Federal Demonstration Partnership (FDP).Past positions included Assistant Vice President, Office of Research Administration at Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute where she managed the pre and post awards sponsored projects including clinical trials; Director of Grants, Contracts and Compliance at Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science; and Department Administrator for University of California, San Diego. She has been a member of NCURA since 1998. She served and held a number of positions at the regional level such as Region VI LEAD Me Program Dean of Mentors and past chair of Region VI in 2012. Robyn Remotigue

Robyn Remotigue is Director, Office of Research Services, in the School of Public Health at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. She has been in the field of research administration for more than 20 years. She is a graduate of the 2012 NCURA Executive Leadership Program and 2010 NCURA Leadership Development Institute. She serves on Region V's Mentoring, Leadership and Professional Development Committee. At the national level, she is an At-Large Member of the Board of Directors. Robyn is also a faculty member of NCURA's traveling workshop SPA II: Sponsored Projects Administration. She is a Co-Editor for the NCURA magazine and serves on the Educational Scholarship Fund (ESF) Select Committee.

Christina Stanger

Christina (Tina) Stanger, MA, CRA, serves as the Assistant Vice President of Research Administration for the MedStar Health Research Institute. In this capacity she oversees all MHRI's core administrative functions that are not centralized with corporate MedStar Health nor those overseen by research operations. She has executive oversight of UTC office management and facilities administration, and she also leads various initiatives such as the Associate Engagement Committee and the SPIRIT committee. This also includes the Office of Contracts and Grants Management (OCGM), which is vested with the institutional responsibility for leading development, pre- and post-award activities, and financial administration of sponsored funds needed to secure and manage funding that contributes to institutional priorities and supports faculty in their research, scholarship, and creative activities. OCGM also provides vital services for research development and implementation.Previously, Tina was the Director of the Office of Contracts and Grants Management at MedStar Health Research Institute. In this capacity, she was responsible for oversight of the proper administration of the Institute's sponsored programs including—proposal review and submission; awards negotiation; electronic research administration; compliance; cost analysis and amendments; sub awards administration; and external relations. She provided expertise and advice in the development of policies and procedures governing the sponsored research enterprise, and acted as primary contact with the federal government, professional associations and other MedStar entities on issues pertaining to sponsored research agreements, policy and administration. Prior to joining MedStar Health Research Institute, Tina served as the Director of Sponsored Programs at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), where she was responsible for managing an $80 million dollar portfolio in extramural funding. She also has 14 years in research administration experience at John Hopkins University. Tina received her Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University, her Master of Science in Applied Sociology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and a Master's Certificate in Government Contracting from George Washington University. She is also a Certified Research Administrator.

Peter Griffith

Peter Griffith joined the General Counsel's office in December 2018. In August, 2020, Peter transitioned to the role of Director of Special Projects supporting Research Administration at the University of Kansas Medical Center after serving since 2011 as Corporate Counsel and Director of the Research Contracts Office for the University of Kansas Medical Center Research Institute, Inc. Peter holds B.G.S. and J.D. degrees from the University of Kansas, where he served on the Law Review.

Irina Diaz

Rebecca Keiser

Rebecca Keiser, Ph.D. has served as head of Office of International Science and Engineering (OISE) since coming to National Science Foundation (NSF) in 2015. The office promotes an integrated, international strategy and manages internally focused programs that are innovative, catalytic and responsive to a broad range of NSF and national interests.Keiser is also the first Chief of Research Security Strategy and Policy (CRSSP), a position established in March 2020 to ensure the security of federally funded research while maintaining open international collaboration. In this role, Keiser provides the NSF director with policy advice on all aspects of research security strategy. She also leads NSF's efforts to develop and implement efforts to improve research security and the agency's coordination with other federal agencies and the White House.Prior to NSF, she was a special advisor to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) administrator and an executive-in-residence at American University. Keiser also served as assistant to the director for international relations at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, where she provided policy guidance to the president's science advisor. Her experience covers science and technology policy, agreements and other cooperative efforts. She is a board member of Women in Aerospace and a member of the American Academy for the Advancement of Science. She has a bachelor's degree in Japanese studies from Wellesley College; a master's degree in politics of the world economy from the London School of Economics; and a doctorate in international studies from the University of South Carolina. Melinda has worked in research administration since 2009 at Clemson University, in sunny South Carolina. Beginning her research administration journey in post-award, she transitioned to pre-award in 2013. She has worked in several different college-level grant support offices; currently supporting the College of Education as the Manager of the Office of Research Services. At Clemson University, Melinda is serving her second term as Secretary of the Staff Senate.

Simon Kerridge

Dr Simon Kerridge, Director of Research Services, University of Kent, UK.Simon has been a research manager and administrator for 25 years, the past 7 leading the research office at Kent where he is responsible for all aspects of the research support including pre-award, post-award, information, strategy, assessment and governance.He has a passion for research management and administration (RMA) as a profession and is an alternate board member of EARMA, the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators; and chair of the EARMA Awards Committee; and a member of the NCURA Select Committee on Global Affairs and an NCURA Global Fellow alumnus. He is also immediate past chair of ARMA, the UK Association of Research Managers and Administrators, and retains a position on the Advocacy Group as well as being an ARMA mentor, and sits on the SRAi Journal of Research Administration Author Fellowship Program committee. He leads the INORMS RAAAP TaskForce (https://inorms.net/activities/raaap-taskforce/) collecting longitudinal about the RMA profession around the world. He is also a board member and the immediate past chair of CASRAI, the international Consortium Advancing Standards in Research Administration Information that hosts CRediT – the author Contributor Role Taxonomy. Rachel Dresbeck

Rachel Dresbeck, Ph.D., is senior director of research development at Oregon Health & Science University within the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research. Her team provides advice, consultation, and training for researchers in every aspect of grantsmanship, from helping them find funding to actively mentoring their research careers. Dr. Dresbeck oversees systems and tools that measure research activity, manages several internal funding programs, and provides strategic analysis and advice to the senior vice president for research, and she is a key communications liaison and strategist for OHSU's research mission. She has a faculty appointment in the School of Public Health, and she teaches science writing for numerous programs at OHSU. She is currently the OHSU chair of the OHSU-University of Oregon Knight Campus Collaboration. She is also a board member and past president of the National Organization of Research Development Professionals.

Anne Maglia

Anne Maglia is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Research and Integrity at UMass Lowell. Her groups catalyze the growth of the university's sponsored research portfolio while ensuring its effective and compliant administration. In 2020, her office administered two COVID-responsive seed grant programs and led the campus-wide research re-occupancy process. She is a certified Project Management Professional and teaches courses on Project Management for Researchers and Research Administration/Development professionals.

Dennis J. Paffrath is the Associate Vice President, Sponsored Programs Administration. In this role, he oversees the Office for Sponsored Programs Administration. He also works with the University's various Schools to create and maintain a well-developed process for all research administration which is designed to support their unique research needs, as well as serves as a liaison and advocate for departmental administrators campus wide.

Dennis has over 30 years of experience in research administration and began his career at Arizona State University in post award administration. He joined the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2006. Throughout his career he has worked at several universities (Private and Public) in a variety of positions in both the central office and the department.

Dennis holds a MBA (2014) from the University of Maryland University College and a BS in Finance (1989) from Arizona State University. He has been an active member of NCURA since 1994 and has presented at the Regional and National level on a variety of pre- and post-award topics as well as professional development and leadership and management strategy. He has served on various NCURA committees, is a faculty member for the NCURA Sponsored Project Administration Level II traveling workshop, is very active in the Kuali Research Community and is the current Chair of that community.

Tricia Callahan

Tricia Callahan is the Senior Research Education & Information Officer for Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. Prior to that, Tricia was the Director of Proposal Development at Miami University in Oxford, OH, where she oversaw all sponsored research-related training activities for pre- and post-award. In addition to providing training and education related to sponsored research, Tricia was responsible for proposal preparation, budget development, proposal submission, award negotiation, and subaward preparation and oversight.Tricia received her B.A. in Psychology from Miami University and her M.A. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Louisville, where she taught as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Psychology and in the Kent School of Social Work. It was at the University of Louisville where she began her career in research administration in 1999. Since that time, Tricia has been an active member of the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) and participated in the NCURA Leadership Development Institute (LDI) and Executive Leadership Program (ELP).Currently Tricia serves as a traveling workshop faculty for NCURA’s Fundamentals and Global Fundamentals. She became a Certified Research Administrator (CRA) in 2015 and a certified professional trainer in 2017.

Lori Ann Schultz

Lori Schultz is the Assistant Vice President, Research Intelligence at the University of Arizona. Lori has worked in higher education research administration for 26 years, working throughout the grant lifecycle, from preaward to postaward. Lori conducts training on a host of research and compliance topics, and has presented research administration and technology topics at the AAU, NCURA, SRA, the Federal Demonstration Partnership (FDP), and Educause. Lori has a Masters in Accounting from the University of Arizona Eller College of Management.

Ann  Pollack

Ann Pollack has spent much of her career at UCLA where she is Associate Vice Chancellor – Research and serves as director of the Office of Research Policy and Compliance (RPC). She supports the Vice Chancellor for Research in his role as Research Integrity Officer. Under her direction, RPC convenes and supports the faculty Conflict of Interest Review Committee and handles a variety of other matters including responding to allegations of research misconduct, administration of the UCLA export control compliance program, and advising the campus on issues related to cannabis-related research, and foreign engagement.

A graduate of Douglass College (Rutgers University), she holds Master’s degrees from the University of Michigan, and from Simmons College. She also completed the Executive Program in Academic Healthcare Management at the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management. She serves as UCLA’s administrative representative to the Council on Governmental Relations (COGR), and is a member of the Association for Research Integrity Officers (ARIO), the Forum on Conflict of Interest in Academe (FCOI) of the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC), and the National Council of Research Administrators (NCURA). In 2020, she received the UCLA Staff Distinguished Career Award.

Jeff Seo

Jeff Seo is the Assistant Vice-Provost for Research Compliance at Northeastern University where he is responsible for the development and oversight of a newly formed office for research compliance responsible for the general oversight of its sponsored and regulatory programs. Prior to Northeastern, Jeff served eight years as Harvard Medical School’s Executive Director for Academic and Research Integrity. Jeff also currently serves as the Program Chair and Adjunct Professor at Emmanuel College where he teaches and oversees the Research Administration Certification program.

Kristin West

Kris West is the Director for Research Compliance and Ethics at the Council on Governmental Relations (COGR). COGR is an association of research-intensive universities, colleges, independent research institutions, and health care institutions that supports its members in the areas of research administration, compliance, financial oversight, and intellectual property. As a member of COGR’s staff she provides information, regulatory analysis, policy perspective and advice to COGR’s members.

Prior to joining COGR, Ms. West worked for Emory University for many years, first as Senior Associate General Counsel and later as Chief Compliance Officer. At Emory she provided compliance guidance and oversight for research and non-research areas. She also served as Emory University's Privacy Officer and Research Integrity Officer.

Ms. West is an active member of the Georgia Bar. She attended the University of Maryland and Mercer University School of Law and also holds a M.S. degree in drug regulatory affairs from the University of Florida.

Glenda  Bullock

Glenda Bullock currently serves as the Director of Research and Business Administration for the Divisions of Hematology, Rheumatology, Pharmacogenomics, and Allergy & Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine. She is responsible for the overall financial management of the Divisions, including strategic and space planning, personnel management, administration of all research and training grants, contracts and clinical studies. She also manages the Hemophilia Treatment Center 340B prescription drug program for the Division of Hematology. Glenda supervises the financial management of the Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program, Physician Scientist Training Program and two large T-32 training grants. She has served on numerous University committees related to research administration, compliance and training.

Prior to her tenure in the Department of Medicine, Glenda spent six years as the Contracts & Grants Manager in the Research Office where she was responsible for negotiation and administration of contracts and subcontracts for the University. She also received valuable experience as the Research Services Coordinator at the University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri S&T University) where she was responsible for all research proposal submission, award acceptance, and research contract negotiations for the Rolla Campus. Her broad knowledge of research administration from both the central and departmental perspective is invaluable in the training of new administrators and in writing new policies and procedures while on university committees.

A member of NCURA since 1993, Glenda has served both on a regional and national level by being a concurrent session presenter, workshop presenter, regional Board of Directors member, National Nominating and Leadership Development Committee member, FRA Neighborhood Committee member, co-chair of a regional meeting, and co-chair of PRA V. Glenda currently serves as a member of the NCURA Board of Directors, Traveling Workshop Faculty, and is an NCURA Peer Reviewer. She is also the recipient of the Julia Jacobsen Distinguished Service Award, the Kevin Reed Outstanding Professional Award and the Region IV Distinguished Service Award.

Csilla Csaplar

Csilla M. Csaplár is the Director of Engineering Research Administration at Stanford University, which provides lifecycle research support and management for all sponsored research activity in Stanford’s School of Engineering. Prior to her position in ERA, Csilla's experience includes leadership and development roles in an academic unit, Stanford’s Office of Sponsored Research, and a foundation grant-making organization.In current and previous roles, she has managed all operational, personnel, and financial responsibilities for her unit, directed faculty affairs, student services, and facilities/safety activity, conducted and managed proposal review and submission, negotiated and managed grants, contracts, subcontracts, and subawards, and participated in the development of research administration policies, systems, and processes. She helped to develop Stanford’s policy and processes for subaward management and risk assessment, and she currently represents the School of Engineering on Stanford’s Research Policy, Financial Advisory, and Export Control Working Groups.Csilla has been actively involved in NCURA leadership at both the regional and national level, and has presented at NCURA regional and national meetings on a range of topics including pre-award administration, departmental administration, subawards and subrecipient monitoring, budgeting, research compliance, career development, and communication and cross-campus collaboration.

Jean Feldman

"Head, Policy Office, Division of Institution and Award Support, Office of Budget, Finance & Award Mgmt; National Science Foundation: Jean I. Feldman is Head, Policy Office, Division of Institution and Award Support, within the Foundation's Office of Budget, Finance, and Award Management. Since assuming that position in 1997, Jean has been responsible for establishing proposal and award policies and procedures for the assistance programs of the NSF. This includes specific responsibility for the: "" Proposal & Award Policies & Procedures Guide, which includes the Grant Proposal Guide and the Award & Administration Guide; "" Grant and Cooperative Agreement Terms and Conditions; and "" Grants.gov Application Guide.

In addition to these responsibilities, Ms. Feldman is actively involved in a number of internal and external streamlining activities, including implementation of P.L. 106-107, the Federal Financial Assistance Management Improvement Act. She serves as NSF's representative on the P.L. 106-107 Pre-award Working Group, as well as on a number of the Working Group's subcommittees. Ms. Feldman is also actively involved in interagency electronic streamlining activities including the development and maintenance of the standard form for the electronic submission of Federal grants applications [SF 424 (R&R)]. In this capacity, she currently serves as Chair of the Research and Related Working Group.

Ms. Feldman is actively involved in the Federal Demonstration Partnership where she serves as the Federal Co-Chair of the Terms and Conditions Standing Committee and is a member of the Strategic Planning Committee. She also serves as Chair of the Research Performance Progress Report Working Group and the Research Terms and Conditions of the National Science and Technology Council's Research Business Models Subcommittee.

Ms. Feldman is an active member of National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA). Jean has served on its Board of Directors, as well as its Peer to Peer Review Committee. Ms. Feldman was the inaugural recipient of the Joseph F. Carrabino award at NCURA's 45th Annual Meeting.

Prior to beginning her NSF career in 1992, Ms. Feldman worked in policy positions with the US Air Force Office of Scientific Research and the US Army Medical Research and Materiel Command.

Gillian Fischer is the Director of the Office of Sponsored Research and Programs, overseeing Pre and Post Award, at California State University, Dominguez Hills. She previously served as Assistant Director of the Office of Grants and Contracts at CSU Fullerton. Prior to joining the California State University system, Gillian was a Principal Contract and Grant Officer at University of California, Riverside, a Senior Contract and Grant Officer at University of California, Irvine, and a Senior Administrative Analyst in the Office of Contract and Grant Administration at UCLA.

He has also served as a Study Coordinator and Research Manager and has 15 years experience in many aspects of clinical trial coordination and management.Tony is a certified Project Management Professional and has successfully completed several, large-scale projects. He founded and directs the Johns Hopkins ClinicalTrials.gov Program and co-chairs the National Clinical Trial Registration and Results Reporting Taskforce.He received his MBA in Healthcare Management from the Johns Hopkins University, Carey Business School and a Bachelors of Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Carrie Dykes

Carrie Dykes, PhD is the Clinicaltrials.gov administrator for the University of Rochester. She received her PhD from the University of Rochester in 1997 and worked in the field of HIV drug resistance as an investigator for 20 years. She is currently the Director of Research Services for the University of Rochester's Clinical and Translational Science Institute.

Tyler Cain

I am currently a Sponsored Projects Officer in the Johns Hopkins University Krieger School of Arts and Sciences Deans Office. I am apart of the Deans Office Ressearch Integration Team (DO-RIT) that specializes in pre-award and post-award functions of various departments in the schoo,l and for overall compliance and monitoring of research funding and expenditures at the school-wide level. I am also a graduate of cohort VII of the Research Administration Training Program at Johns Hopkins University, and I am also currently a graduate student pursuing my Masters Degree in Research Administration at Johns Hopkins University.

Melinda McGill-Carlison

I currently serve as a Grant & Contract Officer on the Federal Team in the Office of Sponsored Programs at Cornell University. In this role, I provide sponsored proposal and award administration services, expertise, and guidance to advance the institution's research and other sponsored programs. I also served as the Pre-Award Team Lead in the Research Administration Service Center in the College of Engineering at Cornell University from 2019-2020. In this role, I led proposal development for Biomedical Engineering and assisted the RASC manager with leadership and training of the pre-award team. I previously held the role of Pre-Award specialist from 2017-2019.I also have experience in SBIR/STTR proposal development through my work with InteliSpark LLC, where I served as the Proposal Development Coordinator. I continue to collaborate with InteliSpark on an ad hoc basis. I am currently studying for my CRA exam. I was also a part of The Cheryl-Lee Howard Mentor Me Program 2019 (NCURA, Region II), where I learned more about NCURA's mission and advanced my skills in Research Administration. I attended the PRA 2020 Conference, funded through a travel award, where I presented on workplace burnout causes and mitigation strategies.While earning my MBA, I collaborated with Dr. Christine Bataille on research to understand the identity transition to fatherhood for managerial/professional men. This work has been presented nationally and has been published in a peer-reviewed journal. My strong desire to promote research at Ithaca College led to a pilot program for GRAs in the School of Business.

Roseann is a manager in Huron’s Higher Education Research Services practice. Since joining Huron in 2018, Roseann has worked with over many institutions across policy development, process improvement, risk management, compliance assessment, and audit defense. Within these engagements Roseann has partnered with executive leadership, functional stakeholders, and industry leaders to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Prior to joining Huron Roseann worked for 17 years at Harvard University, responsible for policy and process implementation, audit management and training delivery and development. Roseann is also teaches in the Research Administration Graduate Program at Emmanuel College.

Robyn Remotigue

Robyn Remotigue is Director, Office of Research Services, in the School of Public Health at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. She has been in the field of research administration for more than 20 years. She is a graduate of the 2012 NCURA Executive Leadership Program and 2010 NCURA Leadership Development Institute. She serves on Region V's Mentoring, Leadership and Professional Development Committee. At the national level, she is an At-Large Member of the Board of Directors. Robyn is also a faculty member of NCURA's traveling workshop SPA II: Sponsored Projects Administration. She is a Co-Editor for the NCURA magazine and serves on the Educational Scholarship Fund (ESF) Select Committee.

Kris Monahan

Kris A. Monahan, Ph.D. is the innaugural Director of Sponsored Projects and Research Compliance at Providence College in Providence RI. She is a recipient of the 2016 Julia Jacobson Distinguished Service Award and has a long history of service to NCURA. She is also the 2019 recipient of NCURA Region I Julie T. Norris Award for Distinguished Service. She currently serves as NCURA's Secretary.

Eddie Neuwirth

Eddie Neuwirth is the Sr. Director of Product Management for Research Services at Ex Libris, a ProQuest company. He is passionate about developing and leveraging technology to make researchers and research institutions more efficient. With over 15 years of experience as a product leader at ProQuest, Eddie has been responsible for bringing numerous product innovations and market-leading solutions to academic libraries and research organizations.

Ryan Champagne

After completing his MLIS and related advanced studies at the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Ryan Champagne started his role inaugurating a campus-wide research development initiative. Over the past five years he has grown the initiative into a small team, enhanced services with a LUMA human centered design certification, and collaborated with university leadership to design and deliver new programs supportive of faculty success. Ryan is a NORDP member, serves on his neighborhood library's fundraising board, and is trying to take better care of houseplants.

Tolise Dailey

Tolise Dailey is the Research and Training Manager for the Office of the Vice Provost for Research at Johns Hopkins University with 29 years of research administration experience in pre and post award, clinical trials, financial management and regulatory compliance at the central and departmental level. Taught training courses at University of Colorado Boulder, Georgetown University and The Johns Hopkins Hospital. A co-editor of the NCURA Magazine “Training Tips” column and serves on the NCURA Diversity and Inclusion Task Force.

She is Co-Lead of the Federal Demonstration Partnership Communication Workgroup, Policies: Marketing, Style Guidance, and Social Media, and a certified research administrator.

Abby Guillory

Abby Guillory, CRA, leads the research education and training unit at NC State. She has over 15 years of grants administration experience within higher education, non-profit, and for-profit organizations. She currently serves on the Education Scholarship Fund Select Committee, Professional Development Committee, Region III’s Honors & Awards Committee, and on both regional and national meeting program committees.

Amanda Ferguson

Ms. Diallo is a Senior Analyst with NASA OCFO Grants Policy and Compliance Branch with over 15 years of experience in Federal government financial management. In this capacity, she is responsible for developing agency wide guidance for the administration and management of NASA grants & cooperative agreement. Prior to joining NASA in February 2019, Ms. Diallo worked as a consultant with Grant Thornton; where she supported several government agencies, including the Environmental Protection Agency, General Services Administration, Department of Transportation, and United States Department of Agriculture with implementation of their Internal Controls Program and financial policy initiatives.Ms. Diallo graduated from Howard University School of Business with a degree in Finance, and is a member of the Association of Government Accountants. In her spare of time, she enjoys cooking, exercising and traveling.

Max Bernstein

Max Bernstein, formerly a researcher at the Astrochemistry Lab in the Astrophysics Branch at NASA Ames Research Center, has been for the past decade the Lead for Research at NASA's Science Mission Directorate (SMD). In this position Dr. Bernstein is the editor and main point of contract for the ROSES' research solicitation. He is also involved in setting practices and policies for the solicitation and review of research awards from SMD.

Libby Romaguera

Michelle Schoenecker is a Senior Proposal Development Manager in the Research Development Unit of Office of Sponsored Programs at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). In this role Michelle works closely with faculty across all disciplines in the development of grant proposals to secure extramural research funding. She also develops training sessions on wide range of grant development topics, including special programs for junior-level faculty and grant writing training for graduate students. Michelle holds a Master’s Degree in English from UWM with a specialization in Professional and Technical Writing, and she has 20 years of proposal development and management experience. Prior to joining UWM she held proposal development positions in the financial services industry and non-profit sector.

Gina Della Porta

Gina Della Porta, DHSc, MHS, Associate Director of Research
Development in the Office of the Provost at Yale University, has almost two
decades of experience in pre-award research administration and research
development. Dr. Della Porta previously served in research leadership roles at
Duke University and at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has
designed and created research development programs at both the departmental and
school levels.

Bonnie Troupe

Bonnie L. Troupe is the Director of the Office of Academic Development (OAD) at Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts, and has been involved in research administration for over 25 years. The OAD serves as the grants office for all faculty members in all disciplines. Bonnie also serves on the Stonehill Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Committee and is the Administrator for the Institutional Review Board (IRB). She has served as a proposal reviewer for the Massachusetts Service Alliance, the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education, and the U.S. Department of Education. Prior to her present position, she held various positions in education including teaching English as a Second Language in Tokyo, Japan and she currently teaches at Massasoit Community College. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in English Literature and Secondary Education from Salve Regina University and a Master of Arts degree in English from Bridgewater State University.

Sally Southwick

Sally J. Southwick, PhD, CRA, has been a research administrator at private and public PUIs for 20 years. She has experience in the full grants lifecycle from the idea stage through proposal development and non-financial award management and compliance. A self-professed compliance geek, she idolizes Jean Feldman of NSF.

Marie Kelly

Marie Kelly is the director of corporate, foundation and donor relations at Stonehill College, where she identifies potential corporate and foundation funders to support institutional priorities and assists college leadership in the cultivation of relationships with corporate and foundation donors. Her grantseeking efforts are informed by Stonehill's strategic and long-range plans. She works closely with Stonehill faculty, staff and program directors to prepare grant applications, proposals and letters of inquiry.She also coordinates the stewardship reporting process for the College's major donors &--; preparing timely and accurate reports to donors on the use and impact of their philanthropic gifts.Kelly graduated from Stonehill College in with degrees in psychology and English.

Rebecca Rinehart

Rebecca Rinehart is a Preaward Specialist at the University of Northern Iowa. She previously worked in environmental public health and regulatory compliance. Shannon Hollis

Shannon Hollis, CRA is a Senior Grants and Contracts Specialist at The Ohio State University, College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Science, Office for Research and Graduate Education. Previously, she was the Interim Director for Ohio Bioproducts Innovation Center (OBIC) and the Project Manager of the Consortium for Advanced Bioeconomy Leadership Education (CABLE) program. Shannon has a B.A. in Chemistry from Miami University and an M.B.A. from Capital University. She has experience in grant writing, budget preparation, project management and execution.In her current role, Shannon works with faculty and other key personnel to review and revise grant proposals, prepares and compiles documents needed for proposal submission, and identifies gaps in the content of the proposal. In addition, Shannon leads the red team review process which is a systematic review process to evaluate proposal quality compared to the RFP guidelines. The proposal team receives constructive feedback with the goal of increasing competitiveness and increasing the chances of award.Recently Shannon participated in a leadership training course and earned the role of a Certified Workshop Leader in Strategic Doing. Strategic Doing provides a process that allows groups to address complex problems by building upon and expanding networks. Shannon is a member of the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), National Organization of Research and Development Professionals (NORDP), and the Society of Research Administrators International (SRAI).

Marisa Zuskar

Marisa Zuskar is a Senior Director within Huron Consulting Group’s Research Enterprise Soltuions practice with over 16 years of expereince in research and research administration. Marisa's work experiences include an operational focus, assisting with the transformation of research administration offices (primarily sponsored projects post-award offices) to be more efficient and effective, while maintaining compliance. In addition, Marisa has spent recent years focusing on research compliance, more specifically partnering with institutions, including their general counsel and external counsel, to respond to audits and investigations focused on sponsored research awards.

Jennifer Cory Doeschot

In my current role, I am responsible for strategy, program management and coordination, enforcing the CDCM's support of investigator-initiated clinical translational studies from initial discovery through completion of phase I/II proof-of-concept clinical studies. I oversee finance, administration, business development and compliance for the Center and its research programs, ensuring adherence to policy as well as advancement from translational to clinical phase. I am also responsible for relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as donors and sponsors.I have more than 20 years of experience in research administration in the academic environment, having held positions in pre-award, business operations, and post-award management and compliance. I have extensive experience building teams and programs, focusing on adaptability and efficiency by implementing processes to facilitate workflow and communication.My most recent previous role was the Director of Research Administration in the Department of Pediatrics, where I oversaw research operations for a portfolio that exceeded $50M in expenditures per year. During my tenure, the portfolio increased 111% (FY08 to FY16), necessitating the build of a robust infrastructure that included post-award financial managers, administrative and program staff, facilities managers, and a student services team. In addition to my institutional responsibilities, I serve as faculty for the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) as an expert in Departmental Research Administration and Contract Negotiation and Administration. I have been an invited speaker at numerous regional and national meetings for both NCURA and the Society of Research Administrators International (SRAI).

Lindsey Demeritt

Lindsey currently serves as the Director for Sponsored Projects Administration for the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas Austin. Lindsey joined the Dell Medical School in June 2015 to establish a departmental sponsored projects infrastructure for the newly created medical school. She has been in research administration for 10 years, and has worked at 2 large research-focused state institutions, a small primarily undergraduate institution, and an urban medical center with a research institute.

Having served at both the departmental and then central levels of sponsored projects administration, Lindsey approaches everything from a “how can we make yes happen without putting the institution at risk” perspective. “It depends” is a commonly heard phrase, and her goal is always to facilitate research and reduce administrative burden for the faculty. As Associate Director with the Dell Medical School, she is responsible for standing up a centralized departmental unit that will be prepared to grow as the medical school does, supporting the faculty endeavors under the mission and goals of a school that has been created to “rethink everything” surrounding healthcare and healthcare delivery.

Lindsey began attending NCURA workshops and meetings in 2008, and has been active at both the regional and national levels. She is a regular workshop and session presenter, focusing primarily on pre-award, budgeting, departmental administration, and lifecycle of the sponsored projects courses. She also serves on the professional development committee, is a member of the traveling workshop faculty, and has served on the national electronic research administration committee.

Abby Guillory

Abby Guillory, CRA, leads the research education and training unit at NC State. She has over 15 years of grants administration experience within higher education, non-profit, and for-profit organizations. She currently serves on the Education Scholarship Fund Select Committee, Professional Development Committee, Region III’s Honors & Awards Committee, and on both regional and national meeting program committees.

Laneika Musalini

Laneika K. Musalini has been a member of the National Council of University Research Administrators for over 12 years. She has been a Grants professional/Research Administrator for more than eighteen years. In her career, she has coordinated, administered and written grants in various fashions from the department to the centralized office. Over time, she was able to acquire knowledge in both pre-award and post-award processes. Currently, Laneika is the Director of Grants Development at Tri-County Technical College in Pendleton, SC, where she develops fundable proposals; administers grants and contracts; prepares proposal budgets; provides strategic leadership and direction for proposal development teams; develops policies and procedures; serves as research compliance officer; and researches labor market trends, funding opportunities and various data. She is also a grant writing consultant. Laneika received her Bachelor's degree from Anderson University (Anderson, SC), her Master's degree in Human Resource Development from Clemson University (Clemson, SC), and her Grant Writing Certificate from the University of South Carolina (Columbia, SC). She is currently a doctoral candidate at Wingate University (Wingate, NC). She has served as a proud volunteer for NCURA for many years. Most recently, Laneika served as chair of the Presidential Task Force on Diversity & Inclusion, PUI-track co-chair for the 61st Annual Meeting (planning committee), PUI-track co-chair for PRA2020, D&I track co-chair for FRA2021, and Region III executive committee advisor on diversity, equity & inclusion (program committee).

Nada Messaikeh

Nada Jammoul Messaikeh is the Associate Vice Provost for Research Administration and Financial Planning at New York University Abu Dhabi. in her current role Nada leads the research administration functions at NYUAD incluidng pre and post award, research ethics and compliance and undergraduate research. throughout her career Nada has led a number of ERP and system implmentations in various functions including administration, HR, finance, SIS , and grants management. Nada is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the state of Illinois and holds a Doctoral Degree in Business Administration from the University of Manchester, UK. Nada faciliated a number of workshops for the Global MBA program at Manchester Business School.

Angie Rochat

Angie Rochat has been in research and sponsored projects for twenty years. She created a pre-award office, enjoys proposal development, teamwork, and a sense of humor. She served on NCURA's PUI committee from 2011-14, was the first fellow at the Center for Minority Serving Institutions at the University of Pennsylvania in 2015, and has served as an Advisory Board member for the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) Grants Resource Center and Chair of the Community and Economic Development Task Force. She is currently the Executive Director of Research at Loyola Marymount University located in Los Angeles, California. She has a MA in Public Policy from New England College and a BA in English from The Ohio State University

Tricia Callahan

Tricia Callahan is the Senior Research Education & Information Officer for Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. Prior to that, Tricia was the Director of Proposal Development at Miami University in Oxford, OH, where she oversaw all sponsored research-related training activities for pre- and post-award. In addition to providing training and education related to sponsored research, Tricia was responsible for proposal preparation, budget development, proposal submission, award negotiation, and subaward preparation and oversight.Tricia received her B.A. in Psychology from Miami University and her M.A. in Experimental Psychology from the University of Louisville, where she taught as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Psychology and in the Kent School of Social Work. It was at the University of Louisville where she began her career in research administration in 1999. Martin Williams

As the Director of Sponsored Programs at William Paterson University, I am responsible for managing pre-award, post-award and non-financial compliance activities. I am fortunate to have the support of skilled and dedicated research administration professionals who focus on details while I am attentive to long term activities, such as our month-long celebration of research, scholarship and creative expression, and our two special initiatives: improvement of our compliance activities and introduction of "research development" to enhance our faculty development mission. Senior research administrator with over 18 years of research administration in community and economic development, with the past 13 years in university research administration leadership. Experience has concentrated in strategic research growth, strategic planning, research development, student research growth, and research administration. Previous roles have included management of EPSCoR programs at state level and executive director of research at Arkansas State University, R2 Carnegie Classification. After serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer and Fulbright Scholar, Kristie joined the staff at Marian University in the fall of 2012 and enjoys serving on the President's Task Force for Racial and Social Equity, the HR Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force, and the Latino Leadership Initiative Committee. After taking a small role on an NSF project, Robin found her passion for grant management and was soon hired to oversee more than twenty grants for a large university center. She now manages several multi-million dollar grants and maintains strong relationships with her PI's and granting agencies. Robin holds a master of science degree in adult education from Marshall University and is studying to become a certified Financial Research Administrator. In 2015, Robin traded the mountains for the ocean when she moved from her home state of West Virginia, to Florida, to take a job at the University of West Florida .

Dean Gerstein

Dean R. Gerstein is Director of Sponsored Research at Pomona College. His previous positions include Director of Research, Research Professor, and Vice Provost at Claremont Graduate University; Senior Vice President and Department Head at NORC at the University of Chicago; Senior Study Director at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine; and faculty positions at UCLA and UC San Diego. He has received more than $50 million in research grants and contracts from federal agencies and authored 125 publications across the biobehavioral and social sciences. He has a BA from Reed College and a PhD from Harvard University.

Elizabeth Haney

Elizabeth B. Haney, M.S., CRA, is a Senior Officer for Strateigic Initiatives for Corporate and Foundatioin Relations/Sponsored Research at St. Lawrence University. Her background includes research, scientific writing and editing, and lab administration. Elizabeth graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and from Brown University with a Master of Science in Biology. She is also a graduate of Emmanuel College's Masters in Research Administration program and a Certified Research Administrator. Sunny Thompson, CRA, is a Grant Analyst at Texas Lutheran University with experience in research administration at both UT Health San Antonio and Arizona State University. Shelly Berry-Hebb

Shelly is currently one of three Associate Directors of Proposal Services with Texas A&M University Sponsored Research Services. Prior to becoming an AD, she spent 23 years in proposal preparation and submission. Her team submits an average of 3000 proposals/year, while the entire preaward department submits around 6000. She oversees 20 proposal adminsitrators in the day to day processes preparing and submitting proposals. She served as the NCURA Region 5 Chair in 2016-17. Shelly received her CPRA certification in February 2017. She was selected for the Research Administraton Certification Council Board of Directors in January 2019 and is currently serving as the secretary of the RACC Board through 2021.

Natasha Williams

Natasha Williams is the Associate Director for Research Development and Strategic Initiatives in the Office of Research at Kennesaw State University and has had a long and extensive nearly 30-year career in research administration. She likes to say that she has grown up in the field, having begun her career in 1993 as the administrative assistant on the Ronald E. McNair grant at Morehouse College when grants were still being typed on typewriters, and then put in boxes to be flown to DC. Since that beginning, Natasha has held a variety of both pre- and post-award positions at the department, college, and central office levels, and in a variety of different institutions and agencies to include the State of Georgia, Georgia State University, and Emory University.

A dedicated community activist and volunteer, Natasha is a former parent representative on the Hapeville Charter School Board, and was a charter member of the Hapeville Charter Career Academy PTA. She currently serves as a member of the City of South Fulton's Parks and Recreation Citizen's Steering Committee and is a grant reviewer for the Fulton County Department of Community Development. In addition to her community service activities, Natasha serves as the President-Elect of the Kennesaw State University Staff Senate and is the Chair-Elect of NCURA Region III.

Kim Melville-Smith

Kim Melville-Smith is currently the Interim Assistant Director of Sponsored Programs at Colorado State University (CSU). In addition to having oversight of post-award, Kim works with CSU's Secure and Global Research to support faculty compliance with foreign collaborations. Kim started her research administration career as a Program Manager implementing hands-on science into K-12 classrooms. From there she moved into a department role supporting faculty and staff in proposal development and grant management. Paige Belisle

While pursuing a MFA in Writing at the University of New Hampshire, Paige Belisle discovered her career path by serving as a graduate student intern in UNH's Research Development Office. In 2016, she joined Research Administration Services at Harvard University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences as a member of the research development team. She serves faculty members by identifying funding opportunities and providing proposal development support. Her current specialty is in providing research development outreach to new faculty members in the arts and humanities, as well as assembling a monthly funding opportunities newsletter for faculty in the arts, humanities, and humanistic social sciences.

Vanessa O. Lopez, BA, CRA currently serves as a Senior Grants Administrator in the Office of Research and Graduate Studies in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas at Austin. She provides both pre-award and grants management research administrative support to researchers. Vanessa provides the necessary tools, resources, and professional development opportunities to enable faculty and graduate students to successfully obtain and manage humanities and social science research grants and fellowships. Katherine Ho is the Senior Director, Office of Research Administration at Stanford University. She presents on diverse topics such as operations and management, international subcontracting, global research risk management, contract negotiation, training, financial management, complex research collaborations, working with corporate sponsors, and clinical trial agreements. Her presentations to international audiences include financial management practices at a research administration symposium at Peking University (2013 - Beijing, China), and presenting on management, leadership and operations at INORMS (2016 – Melbourne, Australia).Katherine is an active member of the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) serving in regional and leadership roles. She is currently Chair of NCURA's Select Committee on Global Affairs. Also, Katherine is a former Chair and former Secretary/Treasurer of Region VI, and served on the regional nominating committee. At the national level, she was an elected member of the Board of Directors and served on the Professional Development Committee. Jennifer is currently the Director, Pre-Award Services in the Office for Sponsored Programs at Harvard University. In addition to University-wide compliance responsibilities, she oversees a diverse group of research administrators, negotiators and operations staff that manage and provide pre-award services for a total port- folio of over $300 million dollars annually. Prior to joining Harvard, Ms. Ponting was a Senior Contract Officer at Columbia Technology Ventures, the tech transfer and licensing office at Columbia University. She also served as the Export Control Officer and Contract Specialist for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Ms. Ponting received her B.S. from the University of New Hampshire and her Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law.

Rosemary Madnick

She has represented her institutions on site visits and with funding agencies. In addition, she is also been involved in strategic implementation of new organizational structures to support grants and contracts operations and implementation of activities requiring facilitation and change management activities.
