Katherine Ho

Katherine Ho is the Senior Director, Office of Research Administration at Stanford University. She presents on diverse topics such as operations and management, international subcontracting, global research risk management, contract negotiation, training, financial management, complex research collaborations, working with corporate sponsors, and clinical trial agreements. Her presentations to international audiences include financial management practices at a research administration symposium at Peking University (2013 - Beijing, China), and presenting on management, leadership and operations at INORMS (2016 – Melbourne, Australia).Katherine is an active member of the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) serving in regional and leadership roles. She is currently Chair of NCURA's Select Committee on Global Affairs. Also, Katherine is a former Chair and former Secretary/Treasurer of Region VI, and served on the regional nominating committee. At the national level, she was an elected member of the Board of Directors and served on the Professional Development Committee. Her other activities include track chair on the Annual Meeting Program Committee, member of the Strategic Growth Task Force, and one of the authors of NCURA's Clinical Trial Handbook. Katherine's prior work experience include Director of the Office of Sponsored Research and Director of Industry Contracts at the University of California, San Francisco. She holds a BA in Economics from UCLA and JD from Boston University.
