Anthony Ventimiglia

Tony Ventimiglia is the Acting Executive Director of Research Administration Services where his responsibilities include oversight of the Offices of Sponsored Programs and Proposal Services and Faculty Support. Tony has been working in research administration since 1999 and has volunteered in various capacities within NCURA at both the regional and national level; including as Chair of Region III; co-chair of two annual meetings; and through various presentations and workshops. He is a graduate of the 2005 class of the NCURA Leadership Development Institute/2015 NCURA Executive Leadership Program and served as an At-large representative on the NCURA Board of Directors from 2010-2011 and as a regional representative from 2013-2014; as a member of the Advisory Board for the University of Central Florida's Master of Research Administration (MRA) program; as a faculty member of the NCURA Fundamentals of Sponsored Projects Administration program (2013-2015 and 2016-2017); as NCURA Secretary from 2016-2017; and as NCURA President (2019). Prior to moving to Alabama in 1999, Tony worked at the Ford Foundation in New York for seven years in various capacities (including as a Grants Processing Specialist and Grants Administrator). Tony has a Bachelor of Arts from St. Joseph's College (Political Science) and a Master of Professional Studies from SUNY Stony Brook (Public Affairs).
