Natasha Williams is the Associate Director for Research Development and Strategic Initiatives in the Office of Research at Kennesaw State University and has had a long and extensive nearly 30-year career in research administration. She likes to say that she has grown up in the field, having begun her career in 1993 as the administrative assistant on the Ronald E. McNair grant at Morehouse College when grants were still being typed on typewriters, and then put in boxes to be flown to DC. Since that beginning, Natasha has held a variety of both pre- and post-award positions at the department, college, and central office levels, and in a variety of different institutions and agencies to include the State of Georgia, Georgia State University, and Emory University.
A dedicated community activist and volunteer, Natasha is a former parent representative on the Hapeville Charter School Board, and was a charter member of the Hapeville Charter Career Academy PTA. She currently serves as a member of the City of South Fulton's Parks and Recreation Citizen's Steering Committee and is a grant reviewer for the Fulton County Department of Community Development. In addition to her community service activities, Natasha serves as the President-Elect of the Kennesaw State University Staff Senate and is the Chair-Elect of NCURA Region III.
Natasha holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Radio/TV Broadcast Journalism and a Master of Public Administration degree in Public Management from Georgia State University. She is currently a doctoral student in Public Administration at Valdosta State University where she focuses her own research on organizational development and innovation in the public sector.
