Rachel Dresbeck, Ph.D., is senior director of research development at Oregon Health & Science University within the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research. Her team provides advice, consultation, and training for researchers in every aspect of grantsmanship, from helping them find funding to actively mentoring their research careers. Dr. Dresbeck oversees systems and tools that measure research activity, manages several internal funding programs, and provides strategic analysis and advice to the senior vice president for research, and she is a key communications liaison and strategist for OHSU's research mission. She has a faculty appointment in the School of Public Health, and she teaches science writing for numerous programs at OHSU. She is currently the OHSU chair of the OHSU-University of Oregon Knight Campus Collaboration. She is also a board member and past president of the National Organization of Research Development Professionals.
