Shannon has a Bachelors in Social Work and currently serves Eastern Idaho through her role with Idaho Strong at IDHW and through her position as a prevention education coordinator at the Bannock Youth Foundation. Her professional career kicked off with coordinating child sexual abuse prevention education as an AmeriCorps VISTA. After years of work with local communities and statewide partners, she has expanded her work to providing education trauma (ACE’s), abuse, protective factors, coping skills, and more. Shannon's public speaking experience includes ISU guest lectures, a TedX Talk, presentations to professionals, conference sessions, assemblies at local schools, and work with many other groups. Her mantra is “every individual has undeniable potential and worth.” Shannon’s passion in life is to find ways to increase individual and community resilience.
