As a published author and inspirational speaker, Merriann has a unique perspective on empowering women to become effective leaders and productive members of society. Being set free from the effects of childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence herself, she has ministered to victims of abuse and women coming out of prison for over 20 years to help them become survivors with a purpose. She is a Certified Coach, Teacher, Speaker and Trainer with The John Maxwell Team and a Board-Certified Christian Counselor with the American Association of Christian Counseling. She has established two successful Non-Profit Organizations that coordinate with other organizations to help meet needs for individuals coming out of abuse situations and prison. In addition, Merriann and her husband have facilitated Marriage Bible Studies, Couples Refreshing Weekends, and Celebrate Recovery Groups. 100% of the proceeds from her book “Overcome & Born Again” are donated to crisis shelters across the nation to help in areas where federal funding cannot.
On a more personal note, Merriann has been married to her best friend, for 29 years. They have two amazing sons, along with their beautiful wives, and a brand-new grandson with her granddaughter arriving in November. She lives in Pocatello. Her hobbies are spending time with her family and serving others to help them become all that they were created to be.
