Kristen Farrington

Kristen Farrington is past executive director of the Freedom Forum Institute’s Religious Freedom Center (RFC).

“Kristen Farrington’s strong leadership and stellar abilities to direct the Center in a collaborative way with its outstanding staff ensured strong continuation of the work of helping our fellow citizens understand the role and presence of religion and faith in the public square under the First Amendment,” said Gene Policinski, president and chief operating officer of the Institute.

Farrington oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Center’s four program areas: Educating Leaders, Promoting Civil Dialogue, Engaging the Public and Equipping Schools.

From 2012 to 2016, she was the head of programs and partnerships for the Tony Blair Faith Foundation in the United States. Previously, she served as chaplain and department chair of religious studies at St. Paul’s School for Girls in Baltimore and St. Timothy’s School in Stevenson, Md.

Farrington (nee Looney) served as clergy in parishes in Florida, California and New York and is an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Maryland. She is an awarded graduate of Yale Divinity School (M.Div.). She is currently Assistant Chaplain at St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School, a college prep, independent, coed Episcopal day school age 3-grade 12 in the Washington, DC area.
