Vonda Gates has been a certified childbirth educator with ICEA since 1991. Vonda was one of the first 20 DONA certified birth doulas and has maintained that certification with ICEA for over 20 years. For many of her early career years, Thursday evening was spent at the local hospital teaching a childbirth class. Currently, Vonda enjoys the talented program candidates she meets as an approved trainer for the ICEA Childbirth Educator and Birth Doula approved workshops. In 2015, Vonda received the first ‘Outstanding ICEA Approved Trainer Award’. Vonda facilitates a childbirth class in her local Georgia classroom and online Zoom classes with expecting parents around the globe
