Rashed Daher is an assistant professor based in Budapest and an interpreter in Arabic, Hungarian and English. He is interested in security-related issues (migration, social and economic conflicts, environment, and water) in the Middle East.

This paper is based on the interrelated themes of economy, society, politics, and the environment in Egypt. It seeks the origin of water problems, in which current sociopolitical conditions and environmental challenges play a significant role.
