Deconstructing Gaza—Why the Gaza Reconstruction Mechanism Has Failed to Rebuild Gaza
Six years after the implementation of the Gaza Reconstruction Mechanism (GRM) the agreement to rebuild properties damaged on the Gaza Strip during conflict of 2014, has completely failed. It was intended to create new housing, and construction of vast infrastructure. Gazans are calling for the mechanism to be scrapped. Paper will examine where GRM broke down and if—the mechanism can be salvaged.
