Decoding Militant Islamists’ Rhetoric and Strategy in Their Native Language: A Novel Arabic Coding Scheme for Leadership Analysis in the Middle East and North Africa
This project introduces an Arabic coding scheme for leadership analysis to profile key terrorist leaders in MENA. I argue that political beliefs of militant leaders can function as causal mechanisms to account for group fragmentation and lethality.
