Aldrin Tinashe Magaya is an assistant professor of History at DePauw University. His current research interests are in African oral histories, Christianity and Society, and African sexualities.

The article examines how a rural community in Bocha, Zimbabwe, molded Christianity to suit and serve their local everyday realities. It highlights the co-existence and interdependence between Christianity and the long-standing VaBocha ‘traditions.'
