Tamas Dudlak is a Ph.D. candidate studying international relations based in Budapest. His main research interest lies in Turkey and its role in the Middle East in various fields: refugees, foreign policy, energy policy, and Turkish–Kurdish relations.

 

Beyond sectarian balancing. The pragmatic relationship between Turkey and the Kurdistan Autonomous Region in Iraq (2014–2017)

 

This analysis intends to reveal Turkey’s cooperation with the Kurdistan Autonomous Region from 2014 to 2017. Amid regional challenges, the parties managed to maintain their shared interests, as they seem more potent than the centrifugal forces.
