Ruby de la Torre has been in the healthcare industry for over 15 years. As a Director of Payor and Provider Contracting at United Medical Imaging HealthCare, a radiology facility with 15 outpatient centers across Southern California, she negotiated several multi-million dollar HMO capitation contracts, led EMR system integrations with major Medical Groups, positioned the organization as provider of choice while also leading a team of Provider Relations and Marketing Representatives. After transitioning to Medicare in 2012 with HealthCare Partners Medical Group as Regional Marketing Manager for Southern California, she’s since been a key player in the insurance industry. Ruby has led corporate strategies and sponsorships with major FMO and Payor partners resulting in above market average year over year growth, she’s designed innovative strategic retention and growth plans for the medical group’s two segments – Group and IPA, resulting in best practices still in play today, while cultivating close relationships with diverse business partners. She most recently joined the Anthem team and is now the Manager of Medicare Broker Sales for Southern California. Ruby brings deep expertise in provider engagement growth and retention strategies, business planning and execution, and competitive product positioning within the marketplace. She has earned a reputation and record of building-out, elevating and positioning organization’s value proposition and competitive edge, while forging solid relationships and leading high functioning teams.
In her spare time, Ruby is an avid reader, runner and lover of delicious food. She enjoys cooking with her family and riding scooters around the neighborhood with her 2 young daughters Arya and Mila ages 2 and 4, respectively, husband Oz with the family pup, Luna, in tow.
