Greta de la Montagne

Greta de la Montagne, WFR, EMT, RH (AHG), has specialized in herbal first aid for nearly 30 years, since studying with Michael Moore at SWSBM in 1991 and helping start what is now the Center for Biological Diversity. She is a 3rd generation Montanan and public lands wilderness advocate and has served as a medic and holistic health practitioner on the front lines of forest defense and in the streets supporting social justice and mass movements against globalization since 1987. She operates Gentle Strength Botanicals & Massage Therapy in Humboldt County where she blends Ayurveda and bodywork with clinical herbalism. She founded the MASHH (Medicine for All Seeking Health and Healing) Clinic in 1997 and Cascadia Health Educators in 2002 to support the training of dozens of activists in Wilderness First Response, administered the First Aid Clinic at the Convergence space during the Seattle Shutdown in 1999, and was a member of the Black Cross Health Collective in the early 2000s, testing chemical weapon and pepper spray remedies.
