Dana  DeShon, DNP, APN, CPNP-PC

Dr. Dana DeShon is a PNP with 24 years’ experience in pediatric primary care. She has been a past presenter for NAPNAP on self- injury, E-Cigarettes' allure along with her teenage son and most recently COVID-19 vaccine in the March 2021 conference. She also speaks locally and regionally on a variety of topics including COVID-19 vaccine, mental health issues, childhood obesity, vaccine hesitancy, immunization update including interviews in regional newspaper, radio broadcasts, Facebook live events, and ANA Vaccine Facts 4 nurses video. She has been an advocate for worldwide immunization for children in impoverished countries through Shot@life educating members of congress on the importance of worldwide vaccinations for children. Dana is currently the chair for NAPNAP Immunization SIG. Most recently she became a member of the Advisory Commission on Childhood Vaccines of the Health Resources and Service Administration. She is married with five boys ages 21-12.
