Dr. Debra Shockey has been a pediatric nurse for 39 years and a PNP for 27 years. She is currently an associate professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and practices in a pediatric hematology/oncology clinic. She is the chair of Integrative Health SIG and has been interested in the provision of holistic pediatric care throughout her career. Dr. Shockey is intrigued by the mind body connection and incorporates current literature and practices into her work in pediatric care delivery.
