Samantha  Lange, MPH

Samantha (Sam) Lange, MPH, is an epidemiologist on the Population Health and Healthcare Team in the Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity at CDC. Sam leads and collaborates on health services research projects to leverage big electronic health record (EHR) datasets for research and surveillance of childhood obesity and co-occurring conditions. Most recently, she spearheaded an analysis to compare longitudinal trends in the rate of change in body mass index (BMI) before and during the COVID-19 pandemic among children and adolescents. Prior to joining CDC, Sam earned her Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology from Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University.
