Renee Porter received her Bachelors Degree at St. Marys College of California, Masters and Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Colorado, Anschutz. She has been a practicing Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for over 15 years. Much of this time has been spent working with families from low-income households and in the specialty area of childhood obesity. During the past 4 years, this included supporting the Obesity Prevention and Control Branch, in the Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
