Takumi Matsumoto, Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance Co., Ltd. -- Takumi was born in Fukuoka city and graduated from Kyushu Kyoritsu University. He has a congenital hearing loss and started playing soccer in the third grade. He continued to play soccer throughout highschool and college. He chose to compete with physically unimpared people. After graduating from college, he was active both in the top local league in Kyushu and in the deaf soccer team. The first encounter with deaf soccer occured when he was in highschool, when a person working for the Japan Deaf Soccer Association saw him in the supermarket near his highschool and contacted the school. He was selected to be in the Japan National Deaflympic Soccer Team in 2006 and he has been the game captain for fourteen years. From 2016, he is working at Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance Company as well as playing as the goalie of Japan National Deaflympic Soccer Team.
