Sarah Christensen

Sarah Christensen is vice president for medical development and alumni relations at the University of Miami. In this role, Sarah leads the philanthropic activities at the Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, as well as UHealth – the University of Miami Health System. Sarah has extensive experience leading successful fundraising efforts at various health care and nonprofit organizations. She came to Miami from Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center in Boston where, as the managing director of development, she led a team of 23 major gifts officers and oversaw all aspects of their fundraising program. Mass General is consistently ranked among the top hospitals in America and also serves as the teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School. Prior to MGH, Sarah held key leadership positions at the Greater Boston Food Bank and Fidelity Investments, among other institutions. A longtime Boston resident, Sarah has served on several nonprofit boards including Junior League of Boston, Girls’ Leap and Women in development. She has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Clark University and an MBA from Boston University Questrom School of Business.
