Bob Wynne

Mr. Robert Wynne is the Executive Director of Administration for the Abramson Cancer Center and has more than 25 years’ experience in financial and administrative oversight of clinical and research programs in a world-class academic medical center. Mr. Wynne’s background includes a degree in Policy Analysis from Cornell University, and his depth of experience with the management of sponsored research grants and contracts, as well as his knowledge of clinical operations and billing, and CMS National Coverage and reporting policies, provides the expertise necessary to fulfill his multifaceted role. He has served as the ACC’s Executive Director of Administration for seven years and was the Associate Director for Finance for the six years prior. Mr. Wynne oversees all administrative aspects of the Center, including research administration and finance, human resources, and philanthropic spending – activities which are inherently complex in a matrix cancer center. During his timeframe in the ACC he helped lead the ACC to three consecutive ‘Exceptional’ NCI Cancer Center Support Grant renewals as a comprehensive cancer center. Mr. Wynne also has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Health System CFO and the Vice Dean for Operations and Finance for PSOM and sits on various key health system committees. In his role as the Executive Director for Administration, he works on all aspects of the center’s strategic planning and looks to remove administrative barriers to make it easier for the ACC faculty to conduct research, translate discovery, and ultimately reduce the burden of cancer on our patient population.
