Zul Surani

Zul Surani is director of Community Outreach and Engagement for the Cancer Research Center for Health Equity at Cedars-Sinai. He directs community outreach and engagement and community-based research initiatives within Cedars-Sinai’s catchment area including development of cancer communications targeted at communities of interest such as LGBTQ+, Asian, African American and Latinx. He brings over two decade of experience in community partnerships and community-based health research through his prior work at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and UCLA. Prior to that he served as the Partnership Program Coordinator for the National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Information Service Partnership Program that focused on reducing cancer disparities in underserved communities through capacity building and partnerships. Zul is currently pursuing a doctorate at the University of Southern California in Organizational Change and Leadership.
