
As the Director of Content Marketing and Social Engagement for Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), Cynthia Manley is a recognized leader in healthcare communications and marketing with an emphasis on digital content. With a career spanning healthcare, academic medicine, biomedical science, medical education, non-profits and journalism, Cynthia is a connectional thinker and problem solver, and regular speaker/presenter on topics related to social media and content marketing. In her role at VUMC, Cynthia develops and oversees the execution of strategic communications, integrated marketing, social media and content marketing strategies to support the medical center, Vanderbilt Health and Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital brands, including patient care, research and medical education. In addition to her work on VUMC’s Discover site, she leads VUMC's nationally recognized social media engagement program including MySouthernHealth.com, a health and wellness content initiative designed to engage consumers before and between healthcare needs.
