
With 33 years of healthcare experience in academic medical centers and community hospitals, Kathleen Hertkorn has served in various managerial, volunteer outreach/management, and development leadership roles beginning with Frankford Hospitals (now Aria-Jefferson Health), Fox Chase Cancer Center, and the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine in Baltimore, MD. In December 2015, Kathleen joined Penn Medicine Development & Alumni Relations as the Senior Director of Development for the Abramson Cancer Center and Department of Radiation Oncology. In October 2018, Kathleen was appointed to Senior Executive Director of Development and Principal Gifts Officer for the Abramson Cancer Center and Department of Radiation Oncology. In her current role, Kathleen leads, mentors, and oversees 26 professional and administrative staff. Together, they work towards shared goals and raise between $30M-$50M annually for the educational, research, clinical and financial needs of the Abramson Cancer Center. Kathleen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy, both from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. A native of Philadelphia, Kathleen currently resides in Valley Forge, PA with her husband, Butch. In addition to her busy professional life, Kathleen enjoys many creative pursuits including gardening, genealogy, calligraphy, knitting, rubber stamping, card making, photography, baking, and cooking.
