Ken Dolbashian

Ken leads the Planned Giving team at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) as Associate Senior Vice President, Planned Giving. A seasoned planned giving professional with nearly 30 years of experience helping individuals meet their estate and charitable gift planning goals, Ken came to CHLA in June 2020, from City of Hope, where he led a team of 7 frontline planned giving officers in their efforts to raise over $30 million dollars annually in support of the fight against cancer and diabetes. Prior to joining City of Hope, Ken led the Planned Giving program at the Union of Concerned Scientist, a leading environmental organization. He has also headed up Legacy Giving efforts in Higher Ed at Connecticut College and in the human rights arena at the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee. A graduate of Brown University and New England Law, Boston, Ken is a “recovering lawyer” having practiced estate planning, elder law and probate for nearly 15 years before transitioning into the non-profit arena. When he isn’t helping donors find the right planned giving vehicle to best craft a lasting legacy of support, he can often be found surfing at Malibu with his adult son and daughter.
