Michael Delzotti, President and CEO of the UK Markey Cancer Foundation, has over twenty-six years’ experience as a leader in the nonprofit field. Mike began his nonprofit career at a public foundation in Los Angeles, then moved on as an executive director of development at UCLA, then VP of Development at Special Olympics. Mike has been the director of development/team lead for Rice University and Senior Director of Philanthropic Resources at MD Anderson Cancer Center. In those roles, in addition to leading major/planned gift teams during three $1B+ campaigns, he successfully directed the Neurodegeneration Consortium, a $65M campaign partnering with MIT and the Baylor College of Medicine. Delzotti is Chair of the National Association of Cancer Center Development Officers (NACCDO) and is a member of the CFRE International Participating Organization Advisory Board. Mike just completed his term on the AFP Global Executive Committee as their Treasurer. Additionally, Mike received the George A. Brakeley, Jr. award from AHP. Most importantly, Mike is blessed with an above-average 16-year-old daughter, Caroline Fiona.
