Dr. Glen T.  Steele

Dr. Glen Steele is a professor at the Southern College of Optometry Pediatric Service placing emphasis on the vision care needs of the infant and young child during the process of development. A past president of both the COVD and the OEPF, he is also past chair of the American Optometric Association InfantSEE® and Children’s Vision Committee. In addition, he currently serves as on the policy committee of APHA Vision Care Section and is a member of the Education Committee of the World Council of Optometry. He has lectured extensively throughout the USA and internationally in the area of infant vision development and care. He has received numerous awards for his work in the area of infant and child development. In 2019, he was inducted into the National Optometry Hall of Fame for work throughout his career.
