Dr. Valerie Lam received her doctorate from the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University and continued at SCCO to complete a residency in Pediatric Optometry and Vision Therapy. One year out of residency, she and her classmate Dr. Thanh Mai founded Insight Vision Center Optometry, a private practice dedicated to vision therapy and specialty contact lenses. She and her team live by their mission statement to “Give patients a lifetime of healthy vision so that they love the way they see!” Dr. Lam is proud to be a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. The past 3 years have been the most exciting years of her professional life, watching Insight Vision Center grow from a single employee cold start private practice to a 9 employee bustling office. When she’s not wearing her doctor hat, she enjoys just being mom and playing bubbles and playdoh with her 2 year old and 4 year old daughters.
