Devaun received his Bachelor of Science degree as a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science from St. Lawrence University in 2009, with McNair and senior research focused in Graph Theory. In spring semester of 2010, Devaun became part of the University of South Carolina's (USC) Graduate Community. He completed his Masters' work at USC in 2012, obtaining a Masters in Engineering and Computing (ME). His research experiences are in the fields of imaging, mobile applications, web applications, and most current, bioinformatics; as a member of Dr. H. Valafar’s lab, Devaun focused on doctoral research examining Active Site Identification.
