Jon Teuber

With 25 years of experience in research administration, Jon Teuber is a leader in aligning organizational goals with external grants and contracts, building partnerships, and empowering collaborative teams. Jon began his career at Northeastern Illinois University, a primarily undergraduate institution in Chicago. Jon supported faculty and project leaders as the university expanded its sponsored project portfolio from $5M to $22M annually; Jon directed two federally funded projects and led partnership development efforts to expand research capcacity for students underrepresented in research fields. For the past eight years, Jon led the Office of Sponsored Programs at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, guiding teams responsible for grant and contract acquistion and oversight, and negotiation of clinical trial agreements and research contracts. Jon co-led expansion of research administration services as the institution's funding grew from $27M to more than $60M annually. Jon is currently a consultant to universities, nonprofits and healthcare systems in proposal development strategy and writing, serves in a business development advisory capacity for MQC Consulting LLC, is a proposal reviewer for the US Dept. of Education and SAMHSA, and serves on the board of a Chicago area nonprofit dedicated to providing affordable housing to individuals facing economic challenges.
