Janet Simons supports international collaborations within Sponsored Programs Administration at the University of Maryland Baltimore (UMB), including negotiation of teaming agreements and MOUs as well as visitor agreements. Janet is an export control officer and also oversees training and website communications for sponsored programs. Before joining the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), Janet began her career in department administration with proposal development and grant management. In UMB's Sponsored Programs Administration, she gained experience with compliance issues and contract negotiation, and in 2007, added export control to her portfolio.
