Elly is the International Research Grants Manager in the Research Grants team in the Research Office at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). In this role, Elly manages UTS’ international research grants portfolio, which includes pre-award and post-award functions. Her responsibilities include identifying funding opportunities, proposal preparation, and submission, and non-financial post-award. Elly began her research management career at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston and worked as department grants administrator in pre-award and post-award roles. She worked at the University of Sydney before joining UTS in pre-award with the Grants and Contracts Team in the central Research Portfolio.
Elly is a Certified Research Administrator (CRA) from the Research Administrators Certification Council (RACC) and has been a member of the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) since 2017 and is currently serving on the NCURA Region VIII Executive Committee as the Volunteer Coordinator. Elly is also a member of the Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS).
