Kris May

Dr. Kris May is an engineer and scientist with over 25 years of experience providing leadership and technical expertise related to climate change resilience and adaptation strategy development. She is leading research in the Bay Area focused on how the shallow groundwater layer will respond to sea level rise in low-lying coastal areas, and how this response may mobilize legacy contaminants in the soil. Dr. May is a Principal at Silvestrum Climate Associates, a research consulting firm that addresses the challenges of climate change and the opportunities for nature-based solutions.
