Eric Averett is the General Manager of Rosedale-Rio Bravo Water Storage District, a position held since 2008. Since 1991 Eric has been involved in evaluating and resolving water supply and quality challenges facing Kern County. He organized and subsequently served as the executive director of the Kern Groundwater Authority to address the challenges of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act. Eric continues to serve the Kern water community as chair of the Kern River Watershed Coalition, Board member of the Water Association of Kern County and Board member for the Association of California Water Agencies Region 7, organizations formed to educate, organize and unite Kern County’s water interests to more effectively address regulatory challenges related to water supply reliability and water quality.
