Megan Oftedal, Ph.D., is a Senior Data Scientist and leader of the Data Science Team at American Fidelity Corporation, a $10 billion-dollar enterprise consisting of several companies in the insurance, banking and finance sectors. She leads a team of data scientists who deliver cutting-edge AI and Machine Learning tools that transform and innovative the enterprise. She believes great data science is a team sport and works closely with data leaders across all the enterprise to grow citizen data scientists through collaborative projects and educational programs. Megan holds a B.A. in Math and Economics from Loyola University Chicago and a Ph.D. in Policy Analysis from the RAND Pardee Graduate School. Prior to starting at American Fidelity, Megan completed a two-year post-doctoral data fellowship at the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University.
