
Nathan Daou, NIGP-CPP, CPPO, CPPB, C.P.M., A.P.P., is the Procurement Administrator for the City of Tucson, Arizona. Throughout his 19 years in the Procurement profession, Nathan has been an active member of the Copper Chapter of NIGP. Nathan is a strong believer in the value of professional certification and is an advocate for the elevation of the Procurement profession. In 2015, Nathan co-created “National Professional Buyer’s Day” with Victoria Cortinas to bring recognition to the people on the front lines of our profession. In 2019, Nathan was the recipient of NIGP’s Manager of the Year Award.
Nathan believes that the success of a Procurement operation is highly dependent on the strength of the Procurement Team. Nathan encourages his team to strive for excellence by pursuing professional development opportunities, striving for a high degree of competency and professionalism, bringing value to the agency, and being an active member of NIGP.
Nathan graduated from the University of Arizona in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree.
