Dr. Carter has worked in international education for 18 years and held senior leadership positions at multiple universities. Originally from Texas, Dr. Carter has lived in France, Tunisia, Scotland, and England. She has a MPhil from the University of Glasgow and a PGCHE from the University of Surrey Roehampton in England, as well as a PhD from the University of North Texas. Dr. Carter’s academic field is medical sociology, which she occasionally teaches at UE. She travels widely for work, personally, and as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
