Dr. Yukiko Shimmi is a Senior Assistant Professor of Global Learning Center at Tohoku University. Her research focuses on international visiting scholars and their experiences in the United States. She also studies the impact of study abroad experiences on students. She obtained M.A. (Educational Psychology) at the University of Minnesota in 2010 and Ph.D. (Higher Education) at Boston College in 2014.
