Alexis Wren was born and raised in Georgia, USA, but moved to Costa Rica in 2012 after falling in love with the country while on a study abroad program during her undergraduate studies. She has a Master of Arts in Teaching and a B.S. in Chemistry and was a high school teacher in an international school before landing a position in a university in Costa Rica as the Director of Study Abroad. When the university decided to discontinue the study abroad programs, Alexis co-founded Costa Rica Global Learning Programs with two colleagues and currently serves as the Director of Programming.
