Melissa Buerkett, Director of Partnership Development for Global Experiences, is a licensed counselor and lecturer with a Master's degree in Mental Health and Wellness from NYU. She has been working in higher education for over 15 years, counseling, teaching and supervising the internships of students. Melissa led the implementation of Global Experiences’ CliftonStrengths program and has been a creative influence on how to engage students in career development during their internship abroad experiences. She has presented at numerous conferences including NAFSA, Forum, GIC, NSEE, and CIEE.
