Hecla Lucky Friday Mine reached resolution with the United Steel Workers Union to end a 3-year labor strike. The mine is returning to prestrike mining production levels after completing major infrastructure projects in 2020. This presentation reviews the ramp up in 2020 as well as looking forward to continued focus on innovative mining at a deep underground silver mine.

Wes Johnson is the technical services manager at Hecla’s Lucky Friday mine. He has been with Hecla Mining Company for 8 years and at Lucky Friday for the past 6 years. Wes has a diverse background in underground mine design and planning. He holds both a BS and MS in mining and minerals engineering from Virginia Tech University.
