Have you ever noticed that most of the people telling our industry how to attract millennials aren’t actually millennials themselves? Not all millennials want to work in the technical industry or invest in crypto. Millennials want adventure. We care about our environment. We are active in our communities. We want to make an impact. We can’t just wait for the next frothy commodity market. If the mining industry is going to build and operate our mines of the future and raise the capital we need to grow, we must change our approach and engage the next generation.
About the Presenter
Josh Serfass is the vice president of corporate development at Integra Resources. He was previously the manager of corporate communications and a key member of the team at Integra Gold which developed and sold the Lamaque Mine to Eldorado Gold for C$590 million in 2017. Prior to Integra Gold, Josh worked at Citibank as a marketing manager and a supply-chain/operations analyst at Liz Claiborne and L. Knife and Sons. Josh is passionate about attracting the next generation to the mining sector.
