Nicole Bowie has been a presenter with FANNP since 2009. With over 20 years of experience, she has held NNP positions in New York and South Florida. She completed her undergrauate and graduate nursing training at Columbia University in New York and obtained her doctorate from the University of Florida. Her special interests focus heaviliy in the area of newborn resuscitation with a primary goal of reducing newborn mortality in third world countries through education based missionary work. Some of the countries involved thus far are Siberia, Costa Rica, Jamaica and the Bahamas. She enjoys teaching and has developed a love for providing education on managing neonates with Cardiac disorders. The first half of her career involved transferring all cardiac patients to a referral center but in 2006 she worked at a level 4 NICU that required her to expand her knowledge base to manage these patients effectively.
