Dr. Burchfield is a Professor of Pediatrics and Chief of Neonatology at University of Florida-Shands Children’s Hospital. He also is the Medical Director of the Neonatal ICU at UF-Shands Children’s Hospital. Dr. Burchfield has published over 60 peer reviewed manuscripts, has held grants from the American Heart Association and the National Institutes of Health. He is the past Chair of the Section for Neonatology and Perinatal Medicine of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
