Thomas Burns has had the great fortune to work in the consumer, automotive, medical device and pharmaceutical industries supporting innovation, collaboration and technology serving clients and patients. Tom has held technology and leadership roles at 3M, Phillips-Medisize and after joining Genentech in South San Francisco, California, in 2011, led the North American Combination Products and Devices External Manufacturing /procurement team. Currently, as a member of the pharmaceutical technical development organization, Tom leads the Process Engineering, Product Care and Design Verification teams that are responsible for design for manufacturability, verification, transfer to industrialization and post launch support for combination products and devices for a diverse and growing pipeline. Tom holds degrees and certificates in electro-mechanical engineering technology, operations management and business.
