Christian Sandmann received his Ph.D. in experimental physics from Lehigh University for his work on imaging microscopy of rare earth ion defects in lithium niobite and its application to light induced domain inversion. He obtained his undergrad education from the University of Paderborn and University of Zaragoza. After a postdoc at Lehigh University he joined BD and worked on continuous glucose sensing, novel assays for infectious disease detection, workflow solutions for the compounding of chemo drugs and the rapid detection of hazardous drugs in health care facilities. He is currently the BD Evolveâ„¢ On-Body Injector platform leader in the Pharmaceutical Systems business unit.
