After teaching Civics and Economics for twelve years helping students learn about our government and the needs to advocate for themselves, I moved into administration and supervision. I spent fourteen years as a principal and K-12 social studies supervisor continuing to advocate for students as well as advocate for quality social studies instruction with teachers. I have returned to my favorite role as a social studies teacher and I am enjoying using the PBAs and DBQs I helped create and exploring the vast opportunities of skill based social studies instruction with my new students.
