JoEllen Ambrose is a social studies educator and lawyer with 37 years of teaching experience in both middle and high school classrooms. Currently she is Co-Director at Learning Law and Democracy Foundation and adjunct instructor teaching Social Studies Methods and supervising preservice teacher candidates at Bethel University and Augsburg University. JoEllen Ambrose received the 2013 American Bar Association Isidore Starr Award for Excellence in Law-Related Education, Minnesota Bar Association Citizen Lawyer Award (2013) and a top ten finalist for Minnesota Teacher of the Year (2006).
